Emerging From the Shadows

The role of sculptural arts in a new era.

Hard hit by the world economic and health crisis some galleries have had to close, resulting in economic hardship for artists. However, where there is a crisis there is an opportunity. The new federal administration is likely to create multiple avenues of economic stimulus that will support the arts, and encourage personal spending. The stay-at-home mandate has inspired and stimulated people to focus more on their personal spaces - both inside and outside. Attendance at outdoor sculpture parks has increased as people seek out experiences that provide safe distancing.

Sculpture Northwest is an organization of artists, patrons, and sponsors moving beyond the shadows to a celebration of life, creativity, experience, and adventure.

We will be directly reaching out to artists and people of influence and offer the opportunity to be part of a new expression of sculptural arts. We are going to partner with sculpture parks, galleries, artists, suppliers, business sponsors, foundations, and patrons. We are going to take on the challenges of cooperation, and the fears that come along with working together in a competitive market. A rising tide can benefit all.

The primary tools to drive this momentum are direct person to person action-oriented communication and engagement in the media-richness of the visual internet.

Our most valuable asset is the collective art of storytelling: about our work, our creative expression, and our role as sculptural artists at this moment in human history. Art has the ability to heal, to communicate, to open peoples imagination to possibilities.
